Hosting on GitHub Pages
This page is provided through GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the page, a feed or a JSON file, your browser transmits technically necessary data: your IP address, date and time, the address requested, your browser's identifier (user agent) and, where applicable, the page you came from (referrer). GitHub processes these data to deliver the page and, by its own account, stores visitors' IP addresses in server logs for security purposes. We do not receive these logs and do not analyse any visits.
How long GitHub keeps these logs is decided by GitHub: by its own account, the period depends on the purpose of the collection and on legal obligations. GitHub names no fixed period, and we have no influence on it.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest: a status page that stays reachable independently of our own servers, especially when appoint4u is disrupted.
GitHub is based in the US. The transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR), under which GitHub is certified. More in GitHub's privacy statement: https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement
No cookies, no tracking
This page sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other servers. It contains no form.
“Report a problem”
The “Report a problem” link only opens your e-mail program with a template; the page itself transmits nothing. When you write to us, we process your email address, your name and your business where you give them, and the content of your message, to handle your report and to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your report concerns a contract with us, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in handling and answering reports of disruptions).
We delete your report once it is settled and no follow-up questions are to be expected, at the latest 180 days after we receive it. If the correspondence is a business letter – for example because it concerns a contract or an invoice –, we keep it for six years (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO; Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Everything else about processing at appoint4u is in its privacy notice: https://appoint4u.com/en/privacy
Automatic checks
The automatic checks run on GitHub Actions and only call public addresses: the home page, the sign-in page and the health checks of appoint4u, and, to recognise a problem with their own connection, https://github.com/robots.txt. No personal data are processed in doing so.
Obligation to provide data
You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide us with data. Without the technically necessary connection data (see “Hosting on GitHub Pages”), however, the page cannot be delivered, and without your email address we cannot reply to a report.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Just write to us at support@appoint4u.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state of your residence, your place of work or the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.
Your right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
An informal objection to support@appoint4u.com is enough.
